Privacy Statement
Plazmax Ltd · New Zealand Privacy Act 2020
Plazmax Ltd, together with its related bodies corporate, officers, employees, agents and contractors ("Plazmax", "we", "us"), is committed to ensuring your personal information and privacy is protected. This statement explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in connection with our website, online store and services, in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Individual and company details — names, delivery and billing addresses, contact numbers and email addresses;
- Order and account information — purchase history, quotations, and account login details;
- Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card details on our systems;
- Identification and credit information — where you apply for a credit / trade account (e.g. company details, and identification such as a driver's license or passport where required);
- Communications — enquiries, support tickets and correspondence with us;
- Technical information — IP address, browser and device data, and information collected through cookies and analytics.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you — when you browse or purchase through our website, create an account, request a quote, apply for a trade account, or contact us — and automatically through cookies and analytics. We may also collect information from third parties where authorised (for example credit reporting agencies) or from publicly available sources.
How we use it
- To verify your identity and process, dispatch and support your orders;
- To take payment and, for trade accounts, to perform credit checks and manage your account;
- To respond to enquiries, quotes, complaints and support requests;
- To send you marketing communications where you have not opted out (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- To improve our website, products and services, including anonymised research and analytics;
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Payments
Online payments are handled by our third-party payment provider using industry-standard, PCI-compliant security. Your full card details are entered directly with the payment provider and are not stored on Plazmax systems.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used and to improve your experience. You can disable cookies through your browser settings without losing access to the website, though some features may not function as intended.
When we disclose it
We may share personal information with parties who help us provide our products and services — including couriers and freight partners (to deliver your order), our payment provider, IT and service providers, credit reporting agencies, our group companies, and regulatory authorities where required by law. Some of these providers may be located outside New Zealand; where your order ships to Australia, your information may be processed in New Zealand.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and to retain it only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To do so, or if you have any questions about this statement, contact us:
Changes to this statement
We may update this statement from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website.
