Product details
The Hypertherm 220440 is the genuine OEM 260A shield for mild steel cutting on HyPerformance HPR260 and HPR130 systems.
The shield protects and cools the consumables behind it, taking the molten spatter thrown up during piercing so the nozzle does not. On some processes it also contributes to the swirling action of the plasma gas.
At 260 amps this shield pairs with electrode 220435 or SilverPlus electrode 220668, nozzle 220439 and swirl ring 220436. HPRXD systems use shield 220764 for the same process.
