Product details
The Hypertherm 220488 is the genuine OEM swirl ring for MAXPRO200, HSD130 and HyPro2000 systems. It serves the 130 amp Air and oxygen processes on all three, the 130 amp nitrogen stainless steel process on HSD130, and the 200 amp Air process on MAXPRO200 and HyPro2000.
The swirl ring spins the plasma gas around the electrode to centre and constrict the arc, so a cracked or clogged one shows up immediately as arc wander and poor edge squareness. Genuine Hypertherm swirl rings hold the correct vent geometry that the LongLife process depends on, so consumable life and cut quality stay predictable.
Inspect it at every electrode and nozzle change and replace if the gas ports are eroded or fouled.
