Part 220489 is the genuine Hypertherm nozzle for HSD130 plasma cutting systems running the 130 amp oxygen process on mild steel.
The nozzle shapes and constricts the plasma arc, so its condition sets your cut quality directly. Replace it when the orifice loses its clean round edge, when cut angle starts to increase, or when dross builds up under the plate. Running a worn nozzle behind a fresh electrode wastes both.
At 130A oxygen on an HSD130 this nozzle sits in a stack with shield 220491, shield cap 220578, swirl ring 220488, electrode 220487 and water tube 220521. SilverPlus electrode 420185 is the longer-life alternative to 220487.
