The Hypertherm 220536 is the genuine OEM shield for the 130A Air, nitrogen and H35 processes on MAXPRO200, HSD130 and HyPro2000 systems, covering mild steel, stainless and aluminium.
The shield protects and cools the nozzle from spatter and helps shape the shield-gas flow, so a clean genuine shield is cheap insurance for the parts stacked below it. Hypertherm's vented-shield design stabilises the arc and improves piercing, geometry that aftermarket shields seldom reproduce. Replace when the bore erodes or spatter build-up affects the cut.
On a MAXPRO200 the 130A oxygen shield is 220491, not this part. On a MAX200 fitted with the HyPro2000 upgrade torch, catalogue 880620 R12 page 32 lists this shield for the 130A oxygen process instead.
