The Hypertherm 220741 is the genuine OEM 260A bevel shield for mild steel cutting on HyPerformance HPRXD systems.
The shield protects and cools the consumables behind it, taking the molten spatter thrown up during piercing so the nozzle does not. On some processes it also contributes to the swirling action of the plasma gas.
Bevel consumables are not interchangeable with straight-cut parts. At 260 amps mild steel bevel this shield pairs with nozzle 220542 and electrode 220541.
