The Hypertherm 220854 is the genuine OEM standard retaining cap for Duramax and Duramax Lock torches on the Powermax45 XP, Powermax65, Powermax85 and Powermax105, from 15 to 105 A.
The retaining cap holds the nozzle, electrode and swirl ring in alignment and seals the gas path. A cracked or heat-damaged cap lets the stack sit off-centre, which shows up as bevel and an uneven kerf.
If your table uses ohmic initial height sensing, use the 220953 ohmic retaining cap instead.
Hypertherm publishes mechanised cut charts on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium using air, and on stainless steel using F5 at 45 to 105 A on the Powermax65, Powermax85 and Powermax105.
