The Hypertherm 228720 is the genuine OEM cap-sensor switch replacement kit for Duramax 180 degree and mini machine torches (Powermax45 XP/65/85/105), Duramax Hyamp 180 degree and mini machine torches (Powermax125) and Duramax MRT retrofit machine torches.
The cap-sensor switch tells the power supply the retaining cap is fitted. A faulty switch stops the system firing or shows a cap-off fault even with the consumables correctly installed.
