The Hypertherm 420156 is the genuine OEM ohmic retaining cap for Duramax Hyamp machine torches on the Powermax125, from 30 to 125 A. Hypertherm also lists Duramax Hyamp torches and consumables as compatible with the Powermax45 XP, Powermax65, Powermax85 and Powermax105.
The ohmic cap carries the clip that lets a torch height controller sense the plate through the shield (ohmic initial height sensing), so the torch finds the surface without touching off. It is used in place of the standard 220977 retaining cap on cutting tables with ohmic sensing, for mechanised cutting and FineCut. Hypertherm also supplies it in the 851476 Powermax125 mechanised ohmic consumable kit.
Hypertherm publishes Powermax125 mechanised cut charts on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium using air.
Hypertherm's F5 process is not intended for Duramax Hyamp torches or consumables.
