The Hypertherm 220948 is the genuine OEM ohmic shield for mechanised FineCut cutting at 30-45 A on Duramax machine torches, used on the Powermax45 XP, Powermax65, Powermax85 and Powermax105.
FineCut is Hypertherm's fine-feature process for thin sheet: a narrower kerf and smaller heat-affected zone for detailed parts. The ohmic version lets a height control find the plate by electrical contact before piercing. For FineCut without ohmic sensing, Hypertherm lists the 220955 deflector.
Listed in Hypertherm catalogue 880200 R21, pages 55, 61, 63 and 65, and on page 47 as part of the stack the 428926 FineCut mechanised cartridge replaces.
