The Hypertherm 220738 is the genuine OEM 130A/260A bevel shield for stainless steel cutting on HyPerformance HPRXD systems.
The shield protects and cools the consumables behind it, taking the molten spatter thrown up during piercing so the nozzle does not. On some processes it also contributes to the swirling action of the plasma gas.
Bevel consumables are not interchangeable with straight-cut parts. This shield covers the 130 amp and 260 amp stainless steel bevel processes, pairing with nozzle 220656 at 130 amps and nozzle 220607 at 260 amps.
