The Hypertherm 228171 is the genuine replacement coolant pump kit for HPR260, HPR260XD and HPR400XD plasma systems, rated 80 gallons per hour at 200 PSI.
The kit contains the pump (031138), the clamp that secures it to the pump motor (129471) and a new coolant filter element (027664), so the filter is renewed at the same time as the pump. The pump motor is not included. Hypertherm lists this pump kit in the preventive maintenance schedule for both the HPR260 and the HPR260XD.
Low coolant flow errors, a noisy pump or coolant weeping at the pump head are the usual signs it is due. This is not the pump for HPR130 or HSD130 (those take the 70 GPH kit 228170), and it does not fit HPR800XD, MAXPRO200 or XPR.
