The Hypertherm 428925 is the genuine OEM cartridge for mechanised cutting at 45 A on Powermax45 SYNC, Powermax65 SYNC, Powermax85 SYNC and Powermax105 SYNC machine torches.
A cartridge replaces the entire five piece consumable stack. Shield, retaining cap, nozzle, electrode and swirl ring arrive sealed as one part, so there is no stacking order to get wrong and no loose components to lose into the slats. Each cartridge is colour coded by process and marked with its amperage and part number.
Hypertherm publishes cut charts for this cartridge on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium using air, and on stainless steel using F5. See cut charts guide 810500MU Revision 4, and Hypertherm catalogue 880200 R21 pages 18 and 47.
