220665 Hypertherm SilverPlus Electrode - 130A Mild Steel - HPR260/130 / HPRXD / HD4070

The Hypertherm 220665 is the genuine OEM SilverPlus electrode for 130 amp mild steel cutting on HyPerformance HPR260, HPR130, HPRXD and HD4070 systems.

SilverPlus uses a silver front end friction welded onto the copper base, giving a hafnium and silver interface that extracts more heat and allows a deeper pit before the electrode is spent. In production it typically delivers around twice the life of a standard copper electrode, and because it wears with less debris build up inside the nozzle it extends nozzle life as well.

A fully used SilverPlus electrode reaches a pit depth of 2.0 mm, against 1.0 mm for copper, so measure with a pit depth gauge rather than judging by eye. Arc voltage should be increased by 5 volts at the point where a copper electrode would have been replaced. At 130 amps it pairs with nozzle 220182, swirl ring 220179 and shield 220183; the copper equivalent is 220181.
